Dr. Meenakshi Sharma is a senior practitioner of Obstetrics and Gynecology in East Delhi. She has been practicing for around 25 years in this field.
She did her MBBS and MD in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the prestigious premier institute All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi. She did her senior Residency and Senior research associate also from AIIMS, Delhi. Later she worked as a specialist in Dr. Hedgewar Hospital, a Delhi Government hospital for 6 years.
Dr. Meenakshi Sharma believes in constantly upgrading her knowledge and skills to serve her patients better. Over the years she has specialized in many areas through training in Infertility, Advanced Gynecological Surgeries, Operative Obstetrics, High-Risk Pregnancies, and Menopause.
Dr. Meenakshi Sharma believes that doctors are lifelong learners. She received advanced training in Gynae Endoscopy by WHI and AIIMS. She also received training in advanced infertility from FOGSI recognized South end IVF center, Delhi.
She has been awarded prestigious Fellowships from the Indian College of maternal and child health (FICMCH) and the Indian College of Obstetrics and Gynecologists (FICOG) for her contribution in the field of obstetrics and gynecology.
She is also the recipient of the prestigious Dr. RD Pandit research prize for the Best thesis by FOGSI, Dr. Abdul Kalam appreciation award from Delhi Gynaecologist Forum, and International Women’s Day Excellence Award by DGF & WOW.
Dr. Meenakshi Sharma is extremely passionate about her work and has been instrumental in helping many women overcome their fertility issues and conceive. She specialized in performing natural and painless delivery and cesarean. She also has the expertise to handle high-risk pregnancies and provide critical care to such patients. She also has expertise in advanced vaginal surgeries like Nondescent vaginal hysterectomy and advanced gynae laparoscopy surgery.
Dr. Meenakshi Sharma is respected by her patients and peers alike. She worked in the capacity of Joint Secretary of Delhi Gynaecologist Forum East and is actively involved in many academic activities of the forum.
She is involved with many social activities involving girl education through social group Samvedna and actively participated in Swami Vivekananda Health mission involved in providing healthcare in hilly areas of Uttarakhand where she participated in health camps and provided medical and surgical expertise to rural women.
